I'm hoping someone can help me.
I have an HP Pavillion p7-1207c desktop but it neither has an HDMI or a VGA output, only DVI.
Most newer monitors do not have a DVI input which I just bought one since my old monitor is no longer working.
Is there any way to install that capability in this desktop?

I want to set up dual displays that will allow me to extend the desktop (not clone) having more screen work space . what kind of graphic card can i use to do that in this pc?This pc is not a work horese , i do not want to spend a lot. I just want to sety up the dual display
IDT HD audio goes off and on when watching streams on twitch or even videos I have on my computer. Is there a new driver or something I need to update?

I want to go back to using the built-in speakers on the 2310 monitor. However, having disconnected the external speakers I previously used, I can't get the speakers in the momitor to work. I managed to run a test, and they provided a long beep, but they wont play back music. Sound card seems to Be Realtek digital and AMD HDMI if that helps.

After upgrading my envy 23 all-in-one desktop to windows 10, I completly lost sound. All troubleshooting programs (windows and HP) test that the sound is working just find. After doing a lot of looking, I discovered I could update the IDT HD Audio Codec driver installed to the generic HD audio device driver. This fixed the sound issue, but only partially. The audio plays now, but with limited functionality - the external subwoofer (has its own output port) does not play, and the associated hp beats audio software does not recognize a sound device. There are no driver updates or windows updates available that I have found to fix the problem. Any ideas?
For some time now, and on a completely random basis, the screen on my Omni 27 will briefly go blank. This generally lasts a couple of seconds at the most before the screen comes back on. I've noticed, though, that if I'm either watching a video or have a song playing in iTunes that when the screen comes back on the video or song has continued on while the screen has gone blank (even though you can't see or hear anything in that brief span of time). It's not entirely clear to me if this is a software or hardware problem; aside from this issue that I'd categorize as an annoyance, everything else seems to be fine. I'm running Windows 8.1 64bit.
Any assistance that could be provided would be greatly appreciated!
updated my audio codec and now my audio is worse.the bass is gone.my audio now sounds very tiny.headphones still have bass though.but the audio coming from my laptop is not playing the bass anymore.i tried rolling back to previous version.this did not fix the problem.i tried uninstalling audio codec and the audio driver too then reinstalling them both.this did not fix the problem.i also messed with the idt settings to boost the bass on the equaliser and the sound did not change.i dont know what to do now.i dont want to do a system restore back to factory settings when it was first bought.this would wipe all my programs i have installed on my pc as well as giving me many hours of having to update windows again.
I recently purchased my computer HP Pavillion 23-p142 with Windows 8.1 64bit on July 9, 2015 and everything was golden...couldn't be happier with it for my needs. Now, in just the last few days, the sound doesn't work at all. No sound from Windows Media Player, Youtube etc. Absolutley nothing. Not even system sounds.
I've tried troubleshooting tips such as going into Computer Management> Services> Windows Audio and restarting that service...still no luck.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Realtek HD Audio drivers several times and it worked on the very first attempt then the sound went away again after a few hours.
I'm at a loss for what to try next...Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Can I upgrade my HP pavilion desktop graphic to AMD Radeon R7240 Graphics Card?. I followed the instruction in the Manual but it doesn't seen to Register in the Device Manager when it is installed. Can anyone help?
The brightness on my laptop has been swapped around. I have no idea why but my laptop is currently on 0% brightness and it's fully bright whereas when it's on 100% brightness, it's the dullest you can get. I'm very confused and whether I use the buttons on the keypad to change it or whether I use the buttons on the screen to change it, they're still the wrong way round. Would love to figure out how to change it back.

I am trying to upgrade to Windows 10 and I get message that current chipset is not compatible with Windows 10. My PC is Compaq Presario with M2N68-LA (NARRA5) motherboard. Is there a graphics card available for this motherboard that is Windows 10 compatible?
I'm trying to download Windows 10 and it tells me that my graphics card as listed above is not conpatiable. I tried to update but is says that it's fine. Windows says I need DirectX 9 and WDDM 1.0 driver.
SO how can I upgrade my graphics card? OR what can I do to resolve this problem?
This box started out with Windows Vista Home Premium and has recently been upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium. The install was relatively trouble free and I was pleasantly surprised when I was told that it qualified for the Windows 10 upgrade. On the 29th I received a notice that this computer is not compatible with Windows 10. The reason given is (NVIDIA GeForce 6150se nForce 430) The display manufacturer hasn't made your display compatible with Windows 10. Check with the manufacturer for support.
Since then, I have made sure that the drivers were up to date and attempted to even install the optional updates for this program and encountered the problem of having any NVIDIA update rejected, giving the error code 80070103.
Any suggestions how I might work myself through this quagmire?

PS. I forgot to mention my headphones work fine. And here are some screenshots of devices...if that helps with anything.
Just purchased a Samsung monitor. The monitor has a DV1 port but my computer does not. Hooked up the available ports. It has a perfect picture but no sound. The new monitor does not have any of those RGB connctions what can I do.
I have one monitor connected via the VGA port on the Intel HD Graphics card, and a DVI monitor connected to the DVI port. Both monitors will work individually, but when I connect them both simultaneously, the VGA monitor is active; after showing the animated Windows logo the DVI monitor displays "No Signal" and goes black. When I look at the multi monitor setup, the program only shows the VGA monitor and cannot detect the DVI monitor.
I updated the graphics driver to the latest HP version, and both monitors became active -- until I rebooted the system. Then I returned to the save problem above. What am I missing?
