Sound turns off after a few minutes. Reboot brings back the sound, but only for a short time

The problem started yesterday, all of the sudden there was no sound. I have checked with the web, the hp support assistant and downloaded new drivers.  I can't think of anything else to do. I have even downloaded programs to check my system in case something got past norton or my malware.  Still no luck, so before I call Sam's club about my warranty I thought I would check here for an answer.

I bought the machine brand new a year ago last May (2014), never had any problems with it until now.  I don't even get sound from the pc speakers.  All the power and connects for my speakers are working just fine.

I hope somone can help me out.

Thanks,

Miriah

Hi

My trusty L2335 has suddenly developed and issue with the osd popping up.

I have checked the front panel button board and all the switches seem to be fine.

IE Multi meter is showing the circuit closed on every button until the button is pressed.

I've yet to check the cable between the button pcb and the main pcb.

Any other ideas?

The monitor works fine with the button PCB disconnected but obviously I have no control over the setup/options ect.

HP Pavilion 25BW Monitor Blacks out

My HP Pavilion 25BW monitor balcks out after a few minutes of use. I run multiple monitors on my computer, and this happens regardless of the connection or if I run this monitor by itself. After the monitor blacks out, the power button remains lit, but I cannot power the monitor off by holding the power button on. If I disconnect the power from the monitor, then reconnect it, the monitor displays properly again for a few more minutes, until it blacks out again.  Any suggestions?

Thin Clients t520 screen resolution not applying to all users?

I am a very entry level tech working for one of the many boards of developmental disabilities in Ohio. We run a terminal server farm in which all users log on via thin client. I wish I could give more detail, but I am very new and I have a boss who never explains everything. The problem I am encountering is when I change the screen resolution as the administrator it does not apply to any of the users. I disable the write when I do it, and I can see it on the administrator profile, but none of the users. If someone can help with this problem I would be extremely appreciative.

Hi,

I got an issue with Surface Pro 3 and HP S231d monitor.

When I install the latest drivers from S231d and I connect directly with USB, it asks for a restart.
When the OS is restarting, it returns a OS error and ask for repair (it can't be solved with the defaults tools)

I installed the latest firmware for the Surface with no solution. Also I tried with diferents Surfaces.

The OS is Win10 x64.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE 360z with an ATI Radeon 5570 installed.

I have a 1st monitor connected at the display port at 2560x1440 and an identical monitor at the HDMI output but donlt get anything better than 1920x1080.

What do I need to do to get the 2560x1440 resolution on my 2nd screen?

New video Card not working.

$

Hey,

I recently purchased a new Graphics Card, however it doesn't seem to run in my PC. I also purchased a new 600W PSU to power this card and my computer.

The card I purchased is:

Radeon Sapphire Nitro R9 380 4GB.

PSU: Corsair CX600M

According to the specs on my PC VIA HP site, I didn't see any reason the card should not work with a PSU strong enough to run it. Originally I had a 550W PSU and upon power up the PC, the CPU fan would come on, however the fans for the graphics card would start then stop and start then stop continuously. I assumed at that point it must be a power issue as it seemed the graphics card was not getting enough power (I had purchased a lower brand PSU). This is what promted me to to get a more power PSU, and upon reading various forums regarding the R9 380 and PSU quality, i figured Corsair was the way to go.

As I said though still not working, actually the exact same thing hapenning. Fans come on then off. Now the strange thing is, when I take the RAM out of the PC, I get the ram warning beep of course, but everything powers on properly.

Any ideas at all would be great!

I have also already gone through one Graphics Card as the company deemed it DOA because my motherboard would not post. But since this is a completely different card, I am starting to think the issue may be with my PC itself.

I just got this desktop all in one HP Pavilion about two weeks ago, yesrday after installing some updates the sound just stopped working. Nothing is coming out of the speakers at all. Not even the start-up sounds. one of my updats failed to install... That's the only think I could think of that may have caused the problem. But I don't know a thing about computers so I'm really stuck and frustrated on what to do.

Thank you for your time!
