Hi,
My lapton now turns itself off when I plug in the HDMI from my laptop to my television. Any ideas? It has worked previously but now seems to play up although I haven't changed anything.

HP 2010i Monitor no sound
I resently lost all sound on my monitor and have tried to update the driver but it can't be found. In Device Manager there is a ? under Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus. I have tried downloading all your products but nothing is working. Any ideas?

No video
I have a HP Pavilion Slimline: Model#: s5-1414, I cannot get any video on PC, thought it was memory (r/r memory), now i am wondering if the onboard video is shot??? If onboard is shot, looking for PCI slot video card (PCI E x16) to fit. Will this solve the problem?? Do you have the video card,do you think this will solve the problem? PC starts fine (no video whatsoever), if this is cause, where can I locate a onboard video that I need, what is the cost?

can I run 5.1 audio on envy 750
I just got an HP 750-170SE. I have a 5 speaker with sub woofer to attach to this PC. I have 3 audio jacks on the PC. Can I run a center channel, 4 out speakers and the sub woofer? Right now I can only get two of the out speakers and center channel to work. It has integrated audio. Thanks

cable tv hdmi to envy
Bought an Envy all in one for the Kitchen. So far great. However, was trying to connect a time warner cable box to computer via the HDMI in connection so wifey could watch TV while cooking.
No joy. Can the computer display the HDMI output from the cable box? What do I need to do??

turntable to Pavilion 550-a 114
I want to record from my turntable to my pc. My Pc has 3 inputs, blue, lime, and pink. The lime goes to my speakers (stereo). The blue takes the mike for my headset. I can't figure out what the pink does. If I plug the line from my turntable into the blue input, I get sound, but not good and not stereo. Can I get decent stereo somehow with what I have, or can I buy another sound card that will do so.

Monitor suddenly goes blank and after a while shows jumbled up garbage
Monitor suddenly goes blank and after a while it shows garbage patterns. The display does not come back to normal. Even after restart or cold start the problem remains the same. There has been few occassions when on cold start the screen showed normal display for a while and then all of a sudden went blank, never to recover to normal useful display. I can not do my work and am stuck.

Pavilion mini desktop to AV receiver video problem
I'm using a Pavilion mini 300-020ns as mediacenter with windows 10 with HDMI connection.
I have it connected to a onkyo tx nr626 receiver hdmi input.
Receiver is connected to a LCD TV.
If I connect the PC direct to the TV, it starts fine and I see PC screen on TV.
BUT if connect it trough the receiver, the PC doesn't send any video signal. It boots, but nothing appears.
If I switch the receiver off, the PC activates video signal and appears on screen. This is because receiver is configured to connect PC and TV directly if power off (Passtrough).
I believe PC is not sending video if it doesn't detect a monitor. AV receiver is not recognized as a monitor.
As soon as I connect it directly (or bypassing the receiver), video appears.
Is any place where I can force the PC to activate video, even if no monitor is connected?
I've tried to configure the received in many parameters, but PC refuses to recognize it as a monitor.
My previous PC (generic, custom built) worked fine, it sent video all time.

Monitor not scaling correctly after upgrading to Win 10
I have an HP p6380t desktop PC connected to an HP 2159m monitor. I recently upgraded to windows 10 home and since the upgrade my monitor image will not scale to fit the screen correctly.
Video: ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 series
I have tried updating the drivers for both the monitor and video card, each responds that I have the current and recommended driver.
Has anyone seen and resolved this problem?

I have a Compaq 400 Pro Small Form Factor that I have upgraded to 8gb RAM. Am trying to upgrade with HP Nvidia Quadro NVS 300 512 MB DDR3 PCle x 16 Video Card but can not get the card recognized by the machine. Any suggestions?

Using Wide Screen TV as a Display
I’m Replacing an existing HP Desktop PC with two video outputs a VGA, and DVI. The DVI output has been used as the normal monitor for the PC, and the VGA has been used to display whatever is on the PCs monitor. The normal monitor and the wide screen TV have different aspect ratios, screen resolutions, and frequency.
The new PC a Z230S has 3 Display ports, and I have two adapters, 1 display port to DVI, and 1 Display port to VGA. The operating system is Windows 7 and is setup to clone displays, and the wide screen TV has a PC connection. The problem that I’m having is that I can’t seems to individually set the monitor display types, and the TV display is flickering and unwatchable.
Should I be using a display port to HDMI?
And is it possible to set the two screen outputs individually?

moniter going to sleep
hi I was on my pc this morning it booted up as usual I was doing some letters and all this text came up and then monitor going to sleep since then I have not been able to access the boot up at all the Moniter doesn't come on at all if I put it on manually it just says no DVI signal no VGA sing along monitor going to sleep have look at other peoples solutions to this but I can't even get into the boot up so can't change any settings ect I am self taught on the computer so do not feel confident enough to open up the tower but my gut instinct is it is a computer problem and not Moniter the Moniter is a Hp s2031a and computer is hp pavilion slimline S5000 series can anyone help.

Connecting monitors
Just purchased this HP Envy 750-177c, and when I went to connect my monitors, I saw there were 2 HDMI ports on the back of the computer. One of my monitors has an HDMI port, but the other monitor only has a VGA and DVI port.
What can I do? Buy a new monitor w/ HDMI port? Buy a graphics card w/ DVI ports to insert into PC ? Or are there cables which can connect to the monitor's DVI port and to the computer's HDMI port?

adjusting monitor brightness
my monitor has gone dim.....can't seem to figure out the controls on front of monitor. can get menu up, but don;t know how to access and manipulate the subjects shown. I am trying to adjust the brightness on the monitor. need some elemental help cause I am not that computer literate....thanks,

My HP vp17 tells me to check video cable whilst plugged in
I recently got this pre-owned HP monitor and it won't work, I know that the cable I'm using works and that the port I'm plugging it into works as well. I'm trying to use it as a second monitor but it won't even work as the only one plugged in! Help me please!
