Yesterday the audio on my laptop completely stopped working. When I tried to troubleshoot the problem it says that 'audio services not responding' and when I search for drivers I need it tells me that the IDT audio driver is missing and when I go to download and install this driver it tells me my hardware is incompatible, If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Without warning computer has started emitting dull, pounding singalling sound every time I close or open an app, brower or page. Apparently result of inadvertent and unaware adjustment I may have made. Cannot find instructions to disable. Please advise.
Can powered speakers with subwoofer be connected to the headphone jack? Computer does not have audio out. HP says yes but did not sound very sure. Thanks

I recently bought a new PC and I've immediately run into an audio problem that I can't figure out. I'm getting no sound at all from the rear audio jack. I'm getting sound from the front jack, and the rear mic jack works. When I plug something into the rear jack, a message pops up acknowledging that there is something there. When I've checked the sound settings while plugged into the rear jack, the equaliser is moving, indicating that it IS receiving sound. But nothing is coming out when I plug headphones or speakers in. I can rule out a fault with the speakers and headphones, since they work just fine coming from the front. All of the drivers are up to date.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I have no sound ...I also have tried every repair action listed...still no sound. When I bring up the diagram of the speakers it shows them working...it shows them working in every test...still no sound. It is not muted, I downloaded new updates etc. ...still no sound....HELP
Hi, I just want to ask, if Camphor motherboard is capable of sending audio signal over DVI port.
There is kabini APU on the motherboard with (quite advancec) integrated radeon graphic core, but only DSUB and DVI connectors, no HDMI.
I have tried this cable an DVI to HDMI reduction, but with no results. (No audio)
So I wonder, if this motherboard is capable of sendig audio over DVI.
I have few motherboards and graphic cards that ARE capable of such functionality (few are much older than Camphor), but all in custom PCs. So i KNOW that it is possible in principle and that it is quite standard function. It is often requierd to change behavior of DVI in bios, but i cannot see anything similar in Camphors BIOS.
So, my question is, if it is possible on Camphor? If yes, how can I activate it?

I have an Envy 15. I recently in paired with bluetooth speaker. Pairing worked perfectly however the sound through the speaker plays at a fast speed. Sounds like the Chimpmunks.
Tried removing and reinstalling device. The same issue continues. Any assistance to fix this issue would be greatly apprecaited.

I doubt the model, OS, or even laptop or desktop make any difference for what I discovered...
here is the fix/test... If your HP computer has BeatsAudio installed on it do this,
open it, and if you can't see it on your desktop click on the "hidden" icons arrow bottom right of your screen,
right click the red circle,
left click "open beats audio"
beats opens after a few seconds,
click "Listening Experience",
click "setup"
click "stereo"
Click "quadrophonics" (or howeever the surround is listed),
Click "stereo"
Click "quad", again
click "stereo" again
close the BeatsAudio window
sound should be fine now.
occasionally I would have to test speakers, click on the stereo and quad a few times but every time this method works,,,go figure.
I found that when I move to different programs like Media-Player, Internet (firefox), youtube, and back, my audio stopped. I had been waiting for HP to do something about that for over a year...much more actually. Why does this fix it? Why does it matter? When will you send us a patch to repair this problem? There are a thousand people trying to find a remedy for this "No Audio"issue. Peasse look at the "BeatsAudio" program and fix it. Thanx. Hope this helps ya'll...at least you don't have to keep rebooting your machine to make your audio work again.

Everything set-up and working great on my SIL's new HP 550-110 except the speaker volume is very low. Have all volume settings maxed out including equalizer. Speakers are non-powered B&O which worked great on previous dinosaur HP. Have researched and discovered low volume is a common problem with no apparent solution. Will she have to get new powered speakers to boost volume? Thanks.
Edit: speakers are non-powered Polk, not B&O. B&O is the on-board audio with Realtek HD speaker driver.

I have come across an issue where I haven't been able to use my microphone (Triton Kama), due to my not knowing which jack to put put it in or how to set it up. On my model, There is a 3mm jack on the front (with a picture of a headset on it I might add) which I have tried countless times, and two USB slots. I have a 3mm jack so there willl be no use of those. On the back of the computer, there is a pink, green, and blue slot. I have tried the pink one, as it says "mic" on it, but I haven't bothered with the other ones yet. When I tried the pink slot, It registered as a mic, but when I talked and tried it in Sounds, the bar didn't go up or recognize I was talking. I have also tried this on Skype and it recognizes the mic but doesn't work as on.
If you could look into this, that would be great. My phone battery dies as quick as Usain Bolt on speed. Thanks.

RESENTLY I UPDATE MY PC TO WINDOWS 10 PRO 64 BITS BUT MY MICROPHONE NOT WORKS, i really search on google but i can't find it, im try to install the windows 7 drivers but not works help me!!!!!

Have had a issue of no sound after windows 10 update. Looks like I have no beats audio anymore but says IDT audio is installed. Wont detect headphones either. Seems something got changed. I have had no luck to get any audio to work. Also seems a NVIDIA HD audio has been installed. Tried changing default device to no avail. Cannot install W8.1 driver that is recommended in support says not compatible.
