Just bought a HP LCD speaker bar for HPZR24w VERY crummy...

This was the only speaker bar I could find from HP that would fit my excellent HP ZR24w.

The sound is scratchy with SO much interference from my computer.

Is this a problem with just my device or is it a product flaw.

The quality is so bad I may as well be listening to an AM radio.

Please tell me there's a solution to this problem.

I know where the internal mic is located but how do I use it? I have always had an external mic in the past. My HP r-110 all in one is brand new so still getting to know it . Do I have to set up the mic and if so how and where. Win 10 has a mic setup with voice training/ recgonition but it does not show internal mic as a choice so I am stuck! I would like to experiment making a voice recording but have no clue how to activate the mic. HELP and THANKS

HP-5210 microphone is not working Windows 10

My HP-5210 microphone is not working, the camera is working.

I followed the instructions in a previous post on this topic, but  was unable to locate the directory provided (windows.old)  in the resolution steps.  A system search for USBAUDIO.sys resulted in finding a few files one of which was in

C:\windows\winsxs\

C;\windows\system32\drivers\  and

C:\windows\system32\driverstore\.

I performed the upgrade to Windows10 late last year and haven't tried to use the web cam until now.

Would you please provide instructions on how to resolve this problem?

no audio to speakers

I lost my audio to my external speakers(insignia brand) while watching the horse races on drf.com. My PC speakers work, I can watch videos or Youtube with no problem, but when I return to drf.com to watch the horse racing, there is no audio. I checked all my connections and switched UCB plug-ins, but still no audio. I have power to speakers but what about the "black box"(woffer?), could that have gone bad?  I am prepared to buy a new one if necessary. Thank you.

Compaq DC7800 sound problems/interference

Hi

I have a Compaq DC7800 SFF (p/n KB929ET#ABU) which has interference on the audio.

It is running SoundMAX Version 6.10.1.7255 and I have uninstalled the driver and downloaded the latest from HP, without success.

Audio output shows up on the Sound category on Control Panel, that is the green bars go up and down the volume slider.  However there is no audio output from the speaker.  When I plug in a pair of headphones the only output is interference.

Any suggestions to resolve this problem would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Audio Dropouts Behringer X32

Hi

I have a problem using my Behringer X32 with my new HP 400 G3 SFF. Whenever I try to record audio in my DAW, Sonar X3, I get dropouts. I have tried the ASIO and the WDM drivers and whilst the WDM is slightly better - it tries to playback the audio, whereas the ASIO dropsout as soon as I click play or record - I can't get it to work.

I have tried changing buffer sizes, latency, etc and I have tried all of the regular Windows tweaks to improve performance but to no avail.

The PC has an i7-6700 processor and 32GB of RAM and an SSD. So should be able to handle it easily.

If I use my old sound cards (Roland SPS25 and an Alesis) I can record and playback 12, 16+  audio tracks just fine.

I have run LatencyMon to try to find the problem but the only thing this picks up on is:

CPU SPEED
______________________________________________________
Reported CPU speed: 3408 MHz
Measured CPU speed: 1 MHz (approx.)

Note: reported execution times may be calculated based on a fixed reported CPU speed. Disable variable speed settings like Intel Speed Step and AMD Cool N Quiet in the BIOS setup for more accurate results.

WARNING: the CPU speed that was measured is only a fraction of the CPU speed reported. Your CPUs may be throttled back due to variable speed settings and thermal issues. It is suggested that you run a utility which reports your actual CPU frequency and temperature.

I have set Windows Power for High Performance and set the processor power management to 100% minimum and maximum to try to stop CPU throttling but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas anyone has would be welcome.

Thanks

Steve

I have lost audio and am showing a No audio output device installed message. Also showing an error

I have no audio at all since the last update from windows 10 in early April.  I am showing a No audio output device installed on the audio icon on my computer.  When I go to device manager it shows that I have no sound components and an error code 39.  This is starting to really frustrate me.  I have tried everything and nothing works.  Be it said I am not an IT person and am limited in my knowledge of computers, but still I am pretty sure it can be a simple fix.

No headset icon in 'playback' window using Windows 10

I've just bought an HP Notebook 15 with Windows 10 installed and there is no icon for a headset in the 'Playback' window that pops up when I right-click the speaker icon.  I've selected  to show both disabled and disconnected devices and still no headset appears. And, understandably, my headset doesn't work.

I've tried updating the Realtek software - to the point where it has told me 'Enough already. You're updated. Go outside and run around.'

I've spent several hours on line researching the problem and have yet to see a solution that seems specific to this issue: no headset icon, Windows 10 already installed (ie not an update).

Thanks very much for any insight and advice. (I tried to choose 'Notebook' as the board that best fits my product issue but it would only let me select 'Desktop'. Hmmmmm...)

Onboard Microphone not recognized after Windows 10 recovery

So I had to recover my Windows 10 OS last week and now my computer does not show having a microphone installed. I searched in the support onine and they recomend to use my HP Recovery disk but that disk was created with Windows 7 wwhen I got the system. I am assuming this just needs a driver reinstall but can not find anything online to help me recover or download the microphone driver. Where do I go from here?

Thanks

Joe
