We accidentally deleted the B&O Play software. Can I have a link to reinstall it?
I just bought an OMEN HP Desktop PC - 870-006no. The specifications for this computer says that it has 5.1 sound capacity. As I understand I am supposed to get the 5.1 output from one of the hdmi outputs on the graphics card. I have a logitech Z906 audio system with some audio inputs but no hdmi. My question is how to get 5.1 sound in my Z906 speakers. Is there any form of adapter or must I get an extra soundcard?

My Logitech C525 webcam microphone is only working intermittently. I have tried uninstalling the camera via the Device Manager in "Audio inputs and outputs" and "Sound, video and game controllers", and re-installing the latest driver from Logitech, but with no success. It appears that there may be a conflicting driver in my HP desktop. The problem started after an HP software upgrade on 26th September 2016.
Under "Playback devices", I can see my Webcam C525 listed. When selecting microphone properties and "microphone levels", the microphone is muted. When changing to "un-mute", (and increase Microphone to 100%) the microphone works for up to 1 minute before switching automatically back to mute.
Thank you for your help.

I was listening to music with my Bluetooth speakers when the bluetooth crashed. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing drivers, but it hasn't worked. I get a code 45 error (device disconnected) when I click on properties in Device Manager.
The bluetooth is an internal device, and I have not added or removed any other devices, nor had I done any software updates, etc. It just quit mid-use.
Just unpacked and installed my new HP Pavilion Wave. I'm trying to use Cortana, but each time I ask a question, I hear a strange 'pop' sound, followed by Cortana crashing.
I already updated the Realtek microphone driver to the latest version.
Any ideas?
When I insert the plug it appears the female part of the soundcard is either loose or shorting out. Most times I receive a hum through the speakers, breakup of deep base and general irritating passages on my favorite music. I do not game. I listen to music as I work. Do I need to replace the card or can i repair the card.
I recently bought an HP Pavilion desktop that came with a Realtek soundcard. It also had this Bang & Olufsen (B&O) software called ‘Play’ installed that is used to control the audio options (albeit very few). The problem is that B&O Play seems to have loudness equalisation turned on by default and there is no option to turn it off ( the option has also been removed from the normal windows audio options panel (there is a box saying ‘turn off all effects’, but unchecking it makes no difference).
So I looked online and the consensus seemed to be that rolling back the driver to the substitute audio device driver would give me back the normal enhancement control options (see:https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Notebooks/How-to-disable-Bang-amp-Olufsen-horrible-audio-correction/td-p/5294181). After doing so the loudness equalisation box is visible (and off by default), problem solved.
This creates a new problem, however. Now I have the echo back/sync issue when I try to monitor the line in. This is normally fixed by unchecking 'listen to this device' under the line in properties 'listen' tab.
But after the rollback, when you look under the 'levels' tab in speaker properties, it only shows one control for speaker volume and not the usual Realtek audio output volume and line in level controls. Unchecking "listen to this device results in silence.
I'm starting to wonder if this is an unfixable inherent issue with the soundcard/software the PC came with. Therefore the only solution may be to install a new soundcard.
Beat Audio disappeared after windows 10 upgrade.
Hi I would like to connect my Klipsh ProMedia 5.1 computer speaker system to recently purchased Pavilion 510-P109 desktop PC. Is it possible to add a sound card to my computer(which one?) to be able to use my beloved Klipsh speakers ?
Hi...
I'm using an Envy 32 Media Display with a MacBook Air and I have just one question. Is there a way to adjust the audio quality, such as bass and treble, from the monitor speakers?
...Thanks
Does anyone know how to contact an actual human being at HP? My CD Drive failed last month, HP sent the wrong replacement and now I cannot get through to anyone to send the correct CD drive. I have been without this drive for over three weeks now!
I have ripped a CD to MP3 files, using NCH Express CD Ripper. And now I am trying to make some CDs from those files using the Express Burn feature of NCH Express.
But I keep getting errors and it won't burn the songs. I am using a CDR for burning. Upon checking my files, I have noticed that my computer has a DVD RW drive but I don't see any CD drive, unless that's the same thing.
What am I doing wrong or do I nbeed to get another drive to be able to burn and even copy files from my computer.
Thanks !
l purchased this PC with Windows 8.1 installed, then upgraded to Windows 10. I have a remnant of Beats Audio remaining. I am searching for the Beats Audio headphones that were paired, bundled or otherwise optimally designed for use with this system. Also,is there any way of finding out, if I am missing any component of my originally installed Beats Audio program?
after upgrading high definition audio to realtek high definition, the sound has been gone in my laptop.its happening continously.
I use skull candy hesh 2 wireless headphones. When I open Chrome and anything like Pandora Radio or netflix if I don't have my headphones turned on first I get no sound. I do not have this problem with my HP 550-110. I still have a week to return this computer if this is a defect. Other times I have to reboot to get sound.
Any suggestions
