    I have set the correct speaker configuration in the Bang & Olufsen app (5.1) and the test for each speaker is perfectly OK, but the audio reproduction of internet or CD is simply directed to the 2 front speakers, all other speaker do not reproduce the sound and in the mixer panel the bar relative to Bang & Olufsen does not move (only the bar "Speakers" moves). What should I do to get the sound from Bang &Olufsen? Thank you for your help.

    I have owned a Compaq Presario SR5710Y Desktop PC for quite some time now with no issues. Recently however, the audio has stopped working. It occurred with no clear signs or reason, i.e. no power outage, new software installation, etc.  

     

    I have thoroughly tried to troubleshoot the problem with every solution guide I have found concerning this issue (feel free to ask more but most likely I have done it). Sadly, I have never kept system restore points so that was out of the question. I have done a factory reset also to no avail. 

     

    There are some specific details that seem to be specific to my case however. In my first attempts to troubleshoot, I simply uninstalled all my drivers (by removing from programs and uninstalling from device manager) and then restarted  my computer in hopes that Windows would reinstall the original sound drivers. No such instance happened. There was simply no driver in the device manager or even a tab for "Sound, video and game controllers"

     

     Similarly, when I attempted to install either the latest sound driver directly from the  manufacturer site (Realtek) or the original driver (found on the HP product page), upon restart the driver would not appear in the device manager (again there was not even a tab for "Sound, video and game controllers"). Using Recovery Manager to reinstall the driver also had the same result upon restarting.

     

    When installing in all these cases there were no failures. The Realtek folder shows up after restarting in C://Progam Files and it is listed under programs in the Control Panel. However, the control panel does not have the Realtek HD Audio Manager nor am I able to start it by running rtHDVCpl.exe found in C://Program Files/Realtek/HDA

     

    The main abnormailty I have found while doing many troublshooting is when I went into the BIOS. In BIOS under the Advanced Tab I changed the Audio Codec to Enabled and Auto with no result. On closer inspection in the BIOS the Audio Codec reads in the right-hand panel:

     

    AUDIO CODEC

    CONFIGURE ONBOARD AUDIO CODEC DEVICE

    [DISABLE]

    DISABLE CONFIGURATION

    [AUTO]

    AUTOMATIC CONFIGURATION

     

    I believe this has something to do with the audio issue because no matter if I change the Audio Codec to [Enabled] or [Auto] the above does not chagne in the right-hand panel even after saving and exiting.

     

    Any help would be appreciated. Please note that I have done most of the common troubleshooting which would be too long to list out, and my personal belief is the BIOS abnormality is the main factor in this case.

  • Just installed new computer, plugged in external  speakers working fine for a couple of days (Itunes/ videos) etc..

    Unfortunately there is no longer sound coming from computer or speakers or headphone ?? 

     

    Have tried every trouble shooting suggestion from usual supports, upgrades to drivers, device manager, coputer manager, reboots etc..

    The speaker icon on task bar shows sound pulsing but no audio at all..any suggestions should I upgrade to windows 10..??

    I am having sound trouble. The sound is cutting out. Sometime it works fine. Recently, it will just cut out, stay really low are only be static.

     

    IT happens with music and also when I am video chatting. Someone may be talking and the sound will just go really low or cut out completely. 

     

    I have had technicians reinstall all drivers and it will work sometimes but not all the time.

     

    Sound seems to work fine with headphones.

    I was hoping to use older 5.1 speakers with my new Omen PC, but the audio output is a single jack, and the speakers are designed to connect to computers using three plugs. My review of the documentation doesn't clearly state how to do this, or if it is even possible. Has anyone had success doing this? Is there an adapter available to connect the three plugs from the older speakers into the one jack on the PC?

    I have a dc5750 Microtower that came with Windows 7 and upgraded a driver from the HP site. After that I kept getting a message that popped up on start-up that said, "Could not load file or assembly 'MOMImplementation' or one of its dependencies." I click "OK" every time I started or restarted the computer and everything seemed to be OK.

    A few weeks later my video was acting up so put in a stand alone video card (GEFORCE GT 610 with 2 GB DDR3 Memory). It worked great, but my audio stopped working and I spent many hours trying to get audio back working. I took the video card out and have gone back to the video on the mother board and the audio (and video) are now working but that message still comes up on start-up.  I should be able to put in that video card without it causing my audio to disappear.

    Hello,

     

    I am having trouble with my Envy 15t's headphone jack. Any headphone jack that I plugin do not work, I can still hear the audio coming out of the  Bang & Olufsen speakers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I purchased this computer new yesterday. Immediately after switch on it started making "gurgling" sound which has continued.  This doesn't stop even when I browse the internet or watch a video. Grateful for any advice as to what I can do to get rid of it.

    I just recently purchased Envy 750 qe Desktop and I can get no sound from my HP speakers.. I have the speakers plugged in where I think they go and there is electricity going to speakers but icon on the task bar says speakers not plugged in. What is going on?

    I am getting no sound from my HP 2.1 compact speakers on  a newly set up HP 750qe desktop. I have tired all the trouble-shooting step;s suggested by HP Assistant but there is no change. What else should I try? I do not have additional speakers to swap in to test.

    Brand new computer, the speakers crackle, I tried changing the default format to 24 bit 192000hz , still pops.

    Removed and reinstalling drivers, updated drivers with realtek from HP site, same.. any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    I have a Turtle Beach Recon 50 headset, it was working fine until today.  

     

    There is a Mic Mute Switch on the headset, every time I mute the mic I get a pop up window saying "you just plugged in an audio device" when I unmute the headset no one can hear me talk. I have to unplug the headset and plug it back in to get it to work again. 

     

    I've checked HP for driver updates but it says all my drivers are up to date, any suggestions?

    I've connected my BOSE Companion 3 Series II speakeers to my HP Envy 23 via the speaker openning of the right side of the base, but it does not seem to be recognized.  The built in Beats Audio system is all that will play.  How do I get my Bose system connected correctly?
