So I've had my HP Envy laptop for about a year and last week, I booted up my computer and found out that my audio wasn't working, even with headphones. Hovering over the volume button, it says "No Audio Output Device is installed."
I went into Recovery Manager, redownloaded my audio driver, rebooted, and that didn't work.
I went to Device Manager --> Sound, video, and game controllers. I didn't see any Realtek drivers there, so I added Realtek High Definition Audio, through clicking 'Add legacy hardware.' But when it was finished, it said "This device cannot start. (Code 10).
Even now, when I go to Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound, no Realtek Audio Manager shows up.
Then, when I installed Device Easy to try to solve the problem, it says that "Realtek High Definition Audio" is unplugged. Doesn't that mean that my internal speakers are unplugged?
I'm not that good with computers, so any help would be really appreciated! I have an important Skype interview in a few weeks, so having sound is definitely necessary...
