So I just upgraded my computer to Windowns 10 and encountered an error where I basically don´t have a sound driver installed, I have no sound what so ever and I tried to update the driver in Device manager but it simply says that no drivers could be found and that´s why I need your help. I even searched for the drivers here using my serial number but I couldn´t find anything.
i can´t find the sound drivers for my HP pc when I search for it here, I typed in my serial number.

How do I fix the beats audio on my HP Envy Recline 27 inch with windows 8.1
Hello, My name is Mark A. and my beats audio is just not acting the way it's supposed to, the Initial screen comes up and all once I click on it, and it does show the primary volume screen, but the screen where the equalizer is, and the screen where the beam-forming options are are blank for some reason I haven't quite figured out yet, and at the end of it where it shows the advanced options, as well as the windows sound properties, and the default button screen works as well, there was a time when I first got it that beats worked fine, but I think maybe with all the power outages, combined with the fact that the apartment building we live in is 100 years old, and so is the electrical wiring, might be to blame, but I need to be sure before I try to do anything to fix it, it's like there's four screens, 1 works-2 doesn't work, 3 doesn't work, and 4 works as well. Can someone Please help me?

Recently brought this computer to replace an older HP computer but am noticing that the volume on this is considerable quieter than the previous computer. Despite having volume on full. Wonder if someone can give me some suggestion.

Horrible sound - Prodesk 400 G4 w/ Conexant HD Audio
Hi, I just purchased a Prodesk 400 G4 and I am appalled with the sound quality. No bass, distorted sounds and a very thinny tone.
I purchased this to replace a 10 year (yes, ten YEARS) old PC with an onboard soundcard and it sounded great. I don't understand this and refuse to admit this is a hardware problem.
Things I tried:
Checked cables and speakers
Checked if I was using the correct 3,5 output jack connector (and not the input one)
Updated Windows
Updated Drivers (from HP and from Conexant's website)
Disabling the audio enhancements on the Controller's properties/options
Disabling the Multiple Transmission on the HP Audio Controls
Using headphones, different speakers, internal Prodesk speaker and my Samsung monitor's speakers, all to the same horrible results.
Please help me, I use this as a audio/mediacenter and I am not happy with this at all.

Volume control stuck on screen left top corner - only restart helps.
Im having a problem with sound on HP ProDesk 600 G3 DM (Win10 Pro). I'm using 43 inch 4k Philips monitor as a speaker via Displayport.
Time by time if I want to adjust the volume via keyboard (Logitech MK850). Happens that the volume bar stuck on the top left screen in highest or in lowest volume (mute). Only the restart helps.
I really do not understand where is the problem (monitor, keyboard, windows). If i want update sound drivers. Windows says that I am using the latest sound drivers. What can I do?

No option to add HDMI for playback device
Hi all, thank you for taking my question.
I'm attempting to connect a device to my HP monitor via HDMI, but unable to get sound from the device.
When i view playback devices, only Realtek audio shows. All drivers appear to be updated. Ran intel assistanct to upgrade the graphics driver, and still no luck.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

My year old HP Envy is awful
My computer freezes all the time. The pop ups are all over the place getting covered by the the task bar so I can only read half of them. And the audio never plays so I have to trouble shoot the audio problems at least once a day and it typically never even loads so I can't even attempt to fix it. This computer is trash and I'm so disappointed with it. I spent a lot of money on it hoping that it would be a good computer and last me a long time but instead I will probably need a new one sooner than later. I will NEVER buy an HP Computer agin because of how terrible the quality is.

HP Envy 27 All-in-One Microphone Problem
I bought this product two weeks ago and the microphone will mysteriously stop working out of no reason.
I tried to look at the Property page of Microphone, and in the Level tab there is a little icon showing that my microphone is set as mute. However I could never unmute it as the mute button cannot be selected to unmute.
But sometimes when I restart the computer the mute icon will return back to normal and I can control it as mute/unmute.
This is really annoying as I do not know when my microphone is gonna work. I wonder if someone has the same problem or could anyone offer some help?

no sound from headphones or speakers - drivers all ok and level indicators display green bars
Everything worked fine until I tried to connect to a Google Hangout yesterday using Firefox. Now there is no sound coming out of either the speakers or headphone jacks even though the level indicators are displaying as if there is. All drivers are installed properly according to diagnostics. I fhave exhausted the hp and microsoft troubleshooter suggestions. What do I need to do to get sound ?.

I bought all new computers for entire office. My great speakers had no bass. As they were old, I bought brand new set...satelite with subwoofer. I have absolutely NO BASS...tinky sounding. I have updated witht the HD Coexant driver, to no avail. I have tried all ideas on forums. Still nothing. Getting frustrated. Having similar issues with my HP Printer and Mac...another story for another time.
HP.....please tell me how to fix this....please don't tell me it is a windows problem!

The sound went away on my Envy 23 Touchsmart with Windows 10
The sound on my computer was working fine and all of a sudden it stopped.
I try to trouble shoot it and it starts scanning and then it just says "cannot identify the problem". I read throught the thread of replies and tried to click on the link provided but it seemed to be broken/ not found.
Is there another fix to this?

No Audio Output Device
I installed Windows 10 a couple days ago on my laptop and had audio for maybe a day. Now it says there's "No Audio Output Device Installed". I ran the driver recovery disc and nothing worked. I'm not sure how to fix this.

External Speakers Don't Work

I need your help with sound.
SYSTEM
HP Pavillion HPE (h8-1380t) running under Windows 7 Pro (64 bit).
SOUND COMPONENTS
I have a Plantonics headset plugged to the top, I have a set of Altec speakers plugged to the rear line-out/headphone port (green), and I have a Blue mike plugged to a USB port.
SETTINGS
The volume mixer shows three devices, which are set to high:
(1) Speakers/Headphones (IDT High Definition Audio CODEC)
(2) Communications Headphones (IDT High Definition Audio CODEC)Digital
(3) Output (S/PDIF) ((IDT High Definition Audio CODEC)
The Control Panel's Sound window shows the same three playback devices as being connected. Only the Speakers/Headphones and the Communications Headphones (IDT High Definition Audio CODEC)Digital are flagged green.
In the Control Panel > Hardware and Sound, there is a Beats Audio icon but I have no idea what it does
FUNCTIONALITY
When I use Skype, the headset works. When I play a YouTube video, I hear the sound thru the headset. And, when I use Audacity for recording, the mike works and I play it back and hear the sound thru the headset. The speakers do not work at all!
How do I make the speakers to work?

Need to add a sound card to my HP 550-150
My desktop PC is three months out of warranty from HP before I discovered that the microphone jack is non-funcational. Any 3.5 mm microphone plug is really loose in the jack and does not make an adequate connection. So, I ordered a sound card from Amazon to give that a try. The sound card I ordered was an ASUS model XONAR DG with part number 90-YAAOKO-OUANOBZ. It says it's compatible with one "PCI Compatible Slot." So, this card did not fit into the open PCI slot on my machine. It was close, but it would not fit. I liked this card for the following reasons: (1) $29, (2) has a microphone input, and (3) has digital TOS output.
What type of sound card do I need for this machine? Any input or guidance you can provide is treatly appreciated.
