I purchased this all in one with windows 8 installed, it upgraded to windows 10 couple of years ago and everything worked fine. I did a syatem restore yesterday which reinstalled win 10 but audio isnt working now and ive tried the win 8 driver listed on the hp driver download for my product. where can i get a driver to make this work?
I have the HP Envy model dv6t Quad Edition and I have the same problem with the missing software.

Hello, I too have recently lost my Beats Audio software that was prepackaged with my Envy h8-1417c desktop computer. A couple of weeks ago I received a system update that required a restart to complete. Unfortunately, the update resulted in the inability of my computer to reboot to Windows. It was caught in a loop--ending with the blue screen. I was forced to 'Reset' my computer, eliminating everything but my data files. After a successful reset, I had Windows 10 back but noticed that I no longer had Beats Audio--amongst other prepackaged items. How do I get the Beats Audio software back? My Envy came originally with Windows 8 but now has 10.

I got a new HP Pavilion Desktop PC 570-pOxx, and found the audio is not working. The troubleshooting shows the error as "No speakers or headphones are plugged in", although I have my headphones plugged in. The PC does not recognize the headphones for some reason. I tried to search online for this issue, and found that so many people are having this problem. Tried to fix it by unistalling/reinstalling drivers, disable/reenable devices, everything that I could find on internet. But nothing has helped so far. I would be glad if someone can provide a solution for this issue.
I re installed windows 10. All is good except for my sound. Small red x by the volume icon in lower right tool bar. It seems as thought there is something that is hanging up the reinstall of the audio card. Help??

Hey, I have been trying to solve the problem of my PC speakers working at the same time as my headphones and I would only like to have audio come out of my headphones only when I have plugged them in. I have read other replys to this same issue, however none of the solutions has worked, so I hope that you could possibly solve or find a solution for my problem.

Hi, I;ve got yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager, I've tried reinstalling and installing newest driver available from HP site and there is still not sound. There are also other yellow excl marks - for example in CPU which is Core i5-2400, tried uninstalling, but they still are there. Before having this problems my previous HDD has failed and I've replaced them with SSD, to which I have clone my OS. What can I do about this? Thank you.
I bought the computer from a friend, and I took it home and factory reset it. I cannot get any sound from speakers I plug in or from headphones. On the tray on the bottom is a audio icon with a red x that says no audio devices installed. I don’t know what to do. The previous owner said he had the previous issue but was able to get headphones to work. Please help me, thanks!
Trying to digitize cassette & reel tape. Attached min-plug to line-in When I play tape it cannot be heard through speakers or headphone jack. However I can record the audio with Audigy and it plays back from that just fine. Just doesn't play through speakers when using line input. All other sound funstions (mp3's internet, games) are working fine Line in seem. OK with device manager. Downloaded & reinstalled drivers from Realtek site. No change. Suggestions?

I recently bought a refurbished workstation HP Z600 with a nvidia Quadro FX3800 videoboard.
I have an adapter video port to HDMI and sometimes I connect my sony TV to the workstation.
Everything works fine but the audio.
I went to look on the net for possible solution to the problem.
I bought a SPDIF audio cable (2 wires) to connect the audio output on the mobo to my FX3800.
Please somebody can help me to find the SPDIF out on the mainboard and the negative pin?
I found 2 pins in between the 2 PCIe, is that one the SPDIF out?
Can somebody help me finding a detailed "map" of my motherboard?

When this computer is upgraded to Windows 10, the Beatsaudio that was built in becomes incompatible. I beleive I have found the solution.
Go to the Realtec website and find under drivers the following driver named:
Read the memo 'Read Me' pdf
0008-Win7_Win81_Win10_R282.exe or the same in a zip file.
Down load the above driver to your Downloads
Go to the Divice Manager.
Select the Sound, video and game icon.
Delete the current Realtec Audio driver.
Run the downloaded driver as Administrator
If you get an incompatible error, install anyway
Wait till the troubleshooter checks your system
Reboot the computer
Try the audio.
If not sucessfully install, go back to the Realtec site and download the same in a zip file and start again.

I am trying to get a Turtle Beach (Recon 50X) headset working on my computer for my son. When I try to plug it in the front left audio port (identified with a microphone symbol and headphones), nothing shows up under sound devices. I have tried every other configuration possible using both the front ports (and a splitter) and both the back ports (with the splitter), though there is no microphone port on the back, only a blue and a green audio port.
I've been at this for hours and thought I'd try here before returning the headset and giving up! THanks so much for any help you can offer.

had to reset my computer and i lost the sound. it will not let me update the driver. keeps telling me the update was found but can not update due to an error .i tried pretty much everything.

Once again, Windows 10 did an update and once again, I lost all audio. This happens EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I've tried updating the IDT driver from their installation page - nothing. I tried installing the sp71717.exe driver that was suggested to me last year - nothing. I even paid for an HP Support monthly plan and called a tech yesterday, who spent over an hour trying various things, all to no avail.

I've just purchased an all in one PC (HP Pavilion All-in-One 27-R085nd) and want change my audio from the internal speakers to a external PC speaker set, still to be bought. I understand my only audio output is the headphone-out/mice-in at the bottom of my all in one (screen).
What set of external speakers can I buy and how to 'connect'.
- I already tried a (wireless) bluetooth speaker, but that is not recognized by the PC.
- I see some wired speaker sets with 3.5 mm jack, but I don't know whether my headphone-out connection can be used for external speakers?
- I also see there are usb wired speakers available; Is the HP Pavilion All-in-One 27-R085nd being able to use external speakerset via usb?
I cannot find any solution for my 'problem'on the internet nor on this HP forum (yet).

Having trouble with speakers / sound to work. Since the new HP update that had to be done, all of my apps were uninstalled and I had to reinstall them. But once I did all that, my speakers no longer work, I have don't the trouble shooting and restarted the computer and the problem was not resolved, and then I spoke to someone on here to help me restore the computer so that hopefully the speakers would rework after restoring and that still did not resolve the issues. I'm quite upset that this has been going on ever since the NEW HP UPDATE had to be done. So its been about 3 weeks now without any sounds from my speaker. And my speakers don't require a desk to install the speaker, they are just plugged in to the computer and nothing works. Speakers turn on, but the computer isn't comprehending that they are plugged in. I would really like this problem to be addressed and fixed today. It was the new HP update that had to be done so the computer could even run correctly, this isn't my fault.
Hi i am trying to use my plug in microphone in my PC using the provided *PORT* on the back of the PC.
