My sound doesn't work after Norton 360 driver updater ran

Recently through my Norton 360 account I added their Driver Updater software and ran it. After running this software, my sound would not work. In Settings, Sound (Windows) it says I have no output audio device. Under Windows Device Manager and sound, video, etc. it said I had RealTek driver. I tried going back to prior version here...it did not restore my sound. I then tried updating the realtek driver and this also did not restore my sound. So I thought in Windows Device manager to uninstall my RealTek audio driver (and then hopefully reinstall it).

Now I cannot figure out how to reinstall the Realteck audio driver for my Windows 11 HP Envy laptop computer or restore sound or get Windows Settings, Sound to add a output audio device to restore sound to my computer.

Please help me restore sound and Realtek audio drivers to my laptop. Thanks!

I tried everything but no success. I reinstalled the codec but also no success. Notification is contact HP

But HP says for my PC: denied (to old?)

What can I do

Is there a solution for my problem?

The volume on this monitor is very low even with everything set at 100%, and is also poor quality. Am I missing something?

It is really not usable, and I have had to revert to using separate speakers from an old computer.

hello all...i'm having a rough time trying to use my brand new, out of the box external speakers, 2 small tweeters with mids and a 4" woofer, where the bass volume and signal out jack is located. the brand is CA. I do get a tiny, tinny amount of sound from the internal speaker on the PC itself, but nothing Itunes-worthy. The driver software seems to be there, but when i look at device properties, i get this:

"Device HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5098&SUBSYS_103C83E9&REV_1001\5&379007e5&0&0001 requires further installation."

I don't know if anyone had the same problem:

My monitor is stuck in a mute state, I press the mute button to unmute but it simply doesn't work. When I pull the power cable, it turns off and the mute led goes off, but as I plug the power cable again, the led goes, so it's on mute again.

It's connected to the PC via USB and display port. Using debian 11.9

Does anyone had the same issue?

Since I got this computer I have had nonstop audio issues, I have double checked with the internet service to make sure it was nothing on their end, I work from home so I count on this computer for a living, I have even contacted my works IT department on several separate occasions, they have exhausted their efforts on helping me with this audio problem, we use an internet phone to work, I even bought a new headset in hopes that was the problem with relief .

I have no sound, only video from HDMI output. Investigating shows my Intel Hi Definition Audio driver is missing so I assume that is the issue. How can I get one? Update driver in system information finds nothing.

Hi Guys

I get no sound out of my new Monitor.

before I have had a BenQ Monitor and it worked without problems.

The device name of the sound device was somnething lik "BenQ..."

My PC is connceted to the monitor via Hdmi. I tried both ports . no difference.

I also have an old Windows 7.1 Installation on my windows PC. When I start this, it works without problems. The sound device name to choose is then "HP M27fwa FDA"

I dont find a DEVICE to select at windows device manager or at Windows Sounds.

i use a NVida GeForce GT 610.

there are grey devices Nvida Audio in the Sounddevices. But they are not active,

I also have a built in RealTek Soundcard, but this should not be relevant?

Does anyone know help?

I got a repeating popup o" USB device not recognised" even when I not used any usbs. By using online instructions I uninstalled USB device driver (maybe I don't know) under universal serial bus controllers. After that I didn't get that notification but a notification sound. What do I do? Now.
