I have an hp pavilion HPE that is 3+ years old. I was having problems with my cideo card and lack of drivers. After researching here and toms hoardware I was told a radeon hd 7750 would be a good choice. Which it was. At the time I also upgraded to a samsung 840 evo @500g.
The system has been running better than it ever has with boot times of 12 seconds to desktop.
Over the last month or so 've noticed it taking longer for anything to appear on the monitor, "ie windows login," upto and over a minute thirty. in fact it seems as if it was skipping the post as even the bios screen didn't show on boot. I started unhooking devices, one of which was a spyder colorimeter. at first I thought it was this until it started slowing again. The only clue I have is the following report from event viewer . Any advice would be appreciated. The system resoponds normally after it boots up. TIA
