I have been having issues with my audio on my laptop. I have an HP Envy m6 Sleekbook model m6-k010dx running on Windows 8.1 Update. A couple of months ago, I had issues getting my audio to work. I had no idea what I was doing, so I mistakenly uninstalled and/or deleted Beats Audio, along with IDT, which is what I believe caused my IDT drivers to stop working properly in the first place.
I re-booted my pc after attempting to fix my audio, and it ended up telling me that I needed to refresh my computer. The refresh apparently failed, but miraculously my computer re-booted a couple of days later. When I examined my files along with all of my drivers, nothing appeared to be wrong. However, I did not have the Beats Audio program any longer, even though my IDT drivers seemed to work fine. Whenever I try and run Beats, it tells me that the startup.exe file is missing, which I'm assuming means that it has, unfortunately, been deleted.
I haven't worried about it because I guess that I felt lucky to have my audio back, so I haven't digged too deeply up until now. I'm again having an issue getting my audio to work. I went into device manager, and my troubleshooter told me that is was another driver issue.
So, seing no other way to go about it after trying but failing to have my computer reinstall the driver, I manually uninstalled it; I had thought that Windows would detect the missing driver and be able to fix it, so I re-booted and went into my device manager. Now it gives me a different error, which I have attached a screenshot of. I have no idea how to fix any of these issues, and any help that you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
