Ok, so I just got this monitor from a friend who swears it was working fine this morning.
The top third of the display is very bright and the response time/refresh rate is very slow in that area. The mouse leaves trails when you enter that area and when you close a window that was in that area it takes a few seconds to disappear. (Think LCD screen on your GPS in the winter time, or the LCD on the gas pump in the winter)
The problem is there with or without connection to a PC.
I have taken it apart and removed / re-inserted the ribbon cable between the LCD panel and the circuit board. No change.
Any suggestions?
