My HP s5610f PC has no video signal going to my monitor (connection to VGA jack). Can I connect the monitor to the DVI jack using a VGA to DVI adapter? Which model DVI is needed? My hope is that the DVI output has circuitry independent from the VGA jack circuitry which may be defective. By connecting to the DVI jack I may be able to work around the defect.
