I bought this new 25' monitor, but i swear it possesed . It does all kinds of weird things without explanation. Sometimes the monitor will shutoff while using it, or it will turn on and off 2 seconds apart.And the power light will blink then turn off. I then have to hold my finger on the power for 5 - 10 seconds for it to come back on. Also sometimes out of the blue i get a message "power button lockout" or when the computer is in sleep mode the monitor will come on searching for a source to connect. It will aso turn on and off repeatily when the PC is in sleep mode. Sometime when the PC is turned off it will also do any of the above. I just never know what its going to do. Sometimes i use the monitor without any problems then all the sudden...........
ive called HP support several times, they always tell me its my computer. Im using a Gateway desktop PC that i bought new in Oct. 2012. Ive updated the grapics with the latest version, windows 7 is 100% updated and i have no issues with my PC. The old monitor i was using was a 22' viewsonic LCD worked fine with my Gateway. I just wanted a bigger monitor .
So ive allready learned HP wont help me, maybe someone else has some ideas???
