Hi Everyone,
I have a DX2250 MicroTower and have been using a graphics card in it since i've had the machine as a media centre machine. The graphics card is not a HP sold one and was one i found in a box of junk. I've only had the machine about 3 months and have done several upgrades on it, but i'm confused. The current graphics card needs upgrading because the last compatable drivers were vista. I want something that is going to run 7/8. The graphics card that i'm trying to put in is about 12 months old and does fit.
The problem is when trying to switch it on it just has the fans running on high power and nothing happens on either the integrated graphics or the graphics card. When you remove the card it boots into vista fine.
Any idea what could be happening??
