Second Monitor, VGA Port not working

I just bought and installed an AMD HD Radeon 5450. I installed it to my motherboard. Both my monitors I have use VGA. So I used an adapter to convert the signal of one monitor to DVI. Both monitors work properly through the DVI port. Neither monitor gets detected through the VGA port. I updated all necessary drivers for the GPU, so now I feel the problem lies within HP (motherboard manufacturer/BIOS). I have a 0AA8h motherboard. I wanted to see if anyone on these forums has seen this problem before. Is there some sort of conflict that is occuring within my computer?
