Similar to cryptorchids post, I have an HP Touchsmart 300 1020 which displays pink screens on some sites as well as polarized colors on others. I would suspect a hardware problem, but I have replaced the LCD inverter and checked connections related to the display with no result. Also interesting is the fact that the welcome and logoff screens are displayed normally after I updated the Radion driver. I have not been able to replace the monitor driver, which Win7 lists as a generic PnP driver. Whenever I use Windows update it just says the driver is up to date, but I believe it is corrupt. This problem started when my daughter re-formatted Sims (an EA game). Is it possible to uninstall the driver in the Device Manager and let plug and play find a replacement on the internet when it reboots? Or would this result in a black screen... oops?
