BenQ G910WAL - not showing the recommended Resolution (1440 x 900)

Hello,

Thanks for taking your time in reading this.

Things you need to know:

Laptop Model: VAIO VPCEE23EL  (64-bit) (LCD screen)

Monitor: BenQ G910WAL (LED)

Firstly, my laptop screen broke and it was far cheaper to get a monitor rather than fixing it (which costed me about $200 whilst the monitor was in the 100's). Anyways, in the meantime my laptop broke and before I bought a new screen, I used my dad's monitor which was an HP w1907 (19-inch LCD) which also had recommended settings of 1440-900.

Here comes the entanglement: Whenever I use my dad's HP w1907 monitor, my computer can detect the native resolution and autoadjusts the screen resolution to just that (1440x900). However, when I'm on the BenQ monitor, whenever i try to adjust the resolution, the native resolution WON'T appear. (the ranges can vary but I can get up to 1600x1200 of resolution).

Very weird because in my dad's HP w1907 LCD screen I can get to that resolution but in the BenQ LED I cannot.

Any suggestions?

+ I already installed latest Video Drivers for this laptop and still no problem (in fact, max res was 1024 before I installed video drivers, now it is 1600)

+ Whenever I open the AMD Vision Enging Control Center, I go to the screen configuration and I can see that the information from the screen says "Not Compatible" in each of the info instead of saying the max resolution, the screen name, etc.

Again, Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you!
