I have a Pavilion 14" Touchscreen laptop. Model Number 14-n013sa.
The touchscreen stops working randomly - it can be after 10 minutes or 2 hours, basically there is no reason or logic to it. The only way I have found to get it working again it to restart the laptop. Annoying to say the least!
This is the second laptop this has happened on, I returned the first one (same model) as I had exactly the same problem.
I can't find the driver for the touchscreen in Device Manager and neither can the software team from the store where I bought the laptop. - EDIT The driver now shows up in Device Manager!? Although when checking it says " No driver files are required or have been loaded for this device". I am now very confused.
I have been using Windows 8. Just updated to 8.1 last night and wondering if that might cure the problem? Although not sure why it would...
Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas how to solve it? I'd be really grateful for any help. I love the look and feel of this laptop and it has everything I need, but if I can't get this problem solved it's going back and I won't be trying for third time lucky!!!
