Okay, so I recently got an HP Pavilion 500. Runs great, etc. I have a Samsung monitor I'm using on it that accepts VGA and HDMI inputs. The Pavilion doesn't have an HDMI display output, but it seems to have a DVI output. My question is, having looked into DVI-to-HDMI cords, there seems to be a lot of variance in cord cost, plus cautionary notes about what kind of DVI output jack is being used. In particular, I'm trying to figure out whether this is a DVI-I or DVI-D output jack. Will any old DVI to HDMI cord work? Would I be better served to get a new video card with HDMI output if that's what I'm looking for? Help please!
