I have a HP Pavilion 23-h024 with Windows 8.1, version 6.3.9600 build 9600, BIOS version AMI 80.01. I got it about 2 weeks ago. I only installed a few games and Webroot antivirus. My issue is, when I am trying to play videos online or through apps the screen where the video is supposed to be is solid green. On the Netflix app, a restart sometimes fixes the issue for a while, but 99% of video playback on IE and the adds for apps, like Minesweeper, are just a green screen, everything else is displayed normally . NONE of the fixes that Microsoft posted have worked, and I would rather not do some of the other supposed fixes I have read such as deleting the display driver and installing an outdated one (sounded bogus) or deleting the AMD Catalyst Control Center (again sounds bogus as I had that on my Win7 laptop without any display issues) without first running it by a tech of the manufacturer of my computer. All other aspects of the display are working perfectly. I have checked my drivers and flash player, everything registers up to date, I preformed all updates to Windows that are available. Finally I checked this forum, though a similar issue was brought up and marked solved, I was unable to get a solution, as it directed the person to Microsoft troubleshooting and I have already tried their solutions, so I am posting my own to see if I can get help finding a solution that will fix this issue.
