I need to upgrade my PSU (Power Supply Unit) in a HP 6005 Pro Microtower. The current PSU output for the computer is currently the factory installed 280 Watts. I am looking to upgrade to 400 Watts or more. Any suggestions on product or advice leading me in right direction would be greatly appreciated.
Here's what I'm doing:
In order to use dual "monitors" (1 monitor and 1 HDTV), I recently installed the Diamond Radeon HD 5450 (low end, I know) in the HP 6005 Pro Microtower. In order to fire up the card the system requires 400 Watts. I installed the graphics card because it is HDMI and VGA ready, which should allow me to utilize both my HDTV and my monitor.
