Hello,
I just purchased a new HP Pavilion 500-314 desktop and I'm trying to hook up my speakers that came with my old Dell desktop. They are Logitech z313 and were working fine on my dell.
I have two male analog connectors, one each for the speakers and subwoofer. On the back of the tower there are 6 analog female connectors labeled: C/SUB, IN, REAR, OUT, SIDE, MIC.
I've tried various combinations. The only one that seems to have any output is when I plug something into OUT. If I plug the subwoofer into OUT it works ok but I get nothing from the speakers no matter when I plug them into. If I plug the speakers into OUT I get very little volume from the speakers and can't seem to turn them up.
I've checked in the audio settings and the volume is set at max. On my old computer this used to play very loud such that I didn't need to turn the volume above 40%.
