I have an HP Pavilion 23 All-In-One model 23-b010 and would like to hook this up to an amplifier for Karaoke. I am using the Karafun Player softare. There are 2 output devices on the computer, one is the headphone jack out and one is on the back panel as a speaker output.
I do have a cable for my iPhone that is a single 1/8"cable that plugs into the iphone and the other end has a right and left 1/8" plug which will plug into my Peavey PVI8500 400W Powered PA Head into the L and R Media/MP3 Inputs which then powers a pair of Peavey PR12s.
Which output would be the proper one to use? I have tested the outputs on a Dell monitor speaker bar that works fine and there is a very annoying HUM coming out of that speaker for some reason (the speaker built into the HP AIO works fine with no plug coming out of the computer to drive an external source)
