I have had this computer for about 3 years now and i have never needed to mess with the sound until just recently i got a new headset with a microphone attached. It plugs in using 2 audio jacks, one for the sound, one for the mic. When i go into the audio settings to set my headset as the default audio output device, the option is faded out and does not allow me to set my head set as the default device.
The result is when in a voice chat with someone, the conversation is coming through my headset and the music im playing is coming out of the computer built-in speakers.
I have tried the trouble shooting program and it did not work.
