I have an HP Pavilion a4313w w/ Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit
AMD Sempron LE 1250 2.2ghz amd2+
MOBO is Pegatron m2n68-LA gl6 Atx
Nvidia geforce 6150 Integrated video VGA Port
My dad recently tried to install a Pcie x16 Video card( HIS Radeon X1600Pro IceQ Turbo, Dual LinkDVI, DVI 128MB GDDR3).
He claims he watched a how to video and did everything suggested ,however
He did not change the Primary Video Adapter setting to PciE 16 in BIOS.
There is no video output now and here is a list of what I have tried so far with no results.
1. Uninstalled Pcie16 video card after confirming its power consumption exceeded the 250 watt psu capabilties. Checked all cables, connections, and chips for connection issues. Reassembled using onboard vga for video. Connected only the bare minimums. (Mouse, keyboard, monitor,HD) Attached power cables to PC and monitor also the video cable secured connections. Powered up and no video source detected. All lights and fans come on and there are no POST beeps at start up.
2. Disconnected all power sources to MOBO, removed CMOS Battery, and Cleared CMOS with jumper on mobo. Left it for about 10 minutes and reassembled. Powered up still no signal.
3. Researched and attempted to restore BIOS to factory default without video. Tried for both version6 or less and version7 and up. Also confirmmed that Monitor and cable are functioning properly without issue on a friend PC.
I would be grateful for any suggestions and/or solutions. If any more information is needed Ill be happy to share it. Thanks in advance, Hollow
