advice needed for a W2207 monitor

My neighbor gave me a W2207 monitor that wouldn't work.   I used to repair the old tube-type tv's many years ago and thought I'd give it a try to fix it.  After taking it apart I found that if I had to use a hair drier on the powerboard everytime I wanted ti use it.  I did the usual looking for cracks on the board and bad solder joints.  I spent some time on  resoldering the board hoping to find something but, that didn't work.  So, I bought another powerboard.  Installed it and the monitor worked great. No hair drier needed anymore.   But then I messed it up.  I was using it with just the screen propped up against the tower until I was satisfied that it would keep working before I put the whole thing back together.  I was reaching around back of the monitor when I bumped the propped up screen and the VGA plug came out part way making the screen turn green.  I turned off the computer and monitor. Plugged in the VGA cable back in but this time with the screws.  Turned on the monitor but now was greeted with just a white screen, no video.  The power button turned or orange after few seconds. I booted up the computer.  The power button turned blue again like it was now getting a video signal but still no video just a white screen.  I figured I blew the video board so I bought another board.  Installed it but still the white screen and no video.   The computer is fine as I'm using it now with the original monitor.   Anyone ever had any experience with this monitor that can give an idea or two?  Sorry for the long post.  Thanks a bunch.
