I have a new HP 500-281 wwith Windows 7 Home Premium. On itial startup i the am the monitor shows it has power but the screen is blank. If I shut down the computer and restart monitor comes on. I can turern the computer on and off from then on and the monitor works fine each time. It's blank only on intial start up. To clarify, I am a 79 year old "beginner"
