Envy Beats edition HDMI output to TV not detected

Just picked up the Envy all in one Beats edition and it will not pick up TV when I connect it with HDMI cable.

1) installed the HP assist client and ran thru the update and tune up suggested
2) installed all windows updates
3) have tested out cable with 2 other machines to the same TV and it works so cable is not the problem.

Any ideas!? Please help!!
