A few days ago I was working on my computer when suddenly my two monitors said DISPLAYPORT No Signal and then went black. They were connected through the two mini displayports on my graphics card. I unplugged them and plugged them back in and nothing. I switched over to the hdmi ports on my monitors and card and still nothing. Same for both DVI ports. I have no VGA port on this computer. Both monitors work fine with another pc that has the same graphics card so I know it's not them. I restarted the computer and by cycling through the ports I was able to see the BIOS screen to load via my DVI port. The Windows logo appears as it does normally then the screen goes black with the backlight still on. All other ports continue to result in "No Signal." I was able to start windows in safe mode, although it is still only visible via the DVI port. I disabled the graphics driver and windows loaded out of safemode. I updated my graphics card driver through HP and later through AMD. When I restarted to complete the driver update the same black screen after the windows logo loaded. My computer only seems to display anything through the DVI port and once I have disabled or uninstalled the graphics driver. This has also resulted in my screens being able to display at a max resolution of 1600x1200 even though the monitors' native resolution is 1920x1200. I have subsequently updated the BIOS and nothing changed. I followed the steps from the forum post "Monitor or TV is Blank after starting the computer." Nothing there has resolved my issue. Unfortunately my warranty expired 5 days before this happened so I was hoping to avail myself of Expert Day to see if my problem can be solved.
