Upgrading Graphic Card

I needed to upgrade my original graphic card GeForce GT220   in order to use at least three (3) monitors so I purchased EVGA GeForce GT 640.  When I installed the card everything went well until computer install the driver and boot up then  computer started to shut down and start over several times then stopped at c prompt and siad it cannot find a bootable drive.  Story short I had to use my emergency Disc and revive the computer.

Then, I started reading the string of Blogs regarding HP Graphic card and one of the tech noted that I should buy Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 and this card will work without upgrading PSU so I did.  Now withthe GTX 660 card the computer keep booting up and shut down and I cannot get it to stop.  I have talked to few outside tech and they told me that I need to upgrade my PSU.  If this is the case then the HP tech expert was not totally correct or I have another problem.

The recommended PSUs are: (1) Corsair HX650 and (2) RS-650.  Also I read that this MB Pegatron IPMTB-TK does not accept many power supplies above 550-650 watts.

Can someone tell me what is my computer problem?  Do I need upgrade the PSU and if I do what PSU I can use?  Model and Type to correctly fit in the case?
