hp pavilion hpe h8-1170uk - Graphics Card MSI 290x 4GB Gaming - No post or out put to screen
I have the above machine, i was advised by HP that this card would be ok to run with current specs aslong as i upgraded the power supply which is did do.
Everything works fine with old NVIDIA card, however, after using a special removal for NVIDIA drivers etc i have uninstalled all NVIDIA updated to latest BIOS for IPISB-CH2 board (that i can find) 7.1 rev
Installing the new card gives me nothing on the screen no output, the card is powered up and fans spinning.
On the card there is 2x DVI, a Display port and HDMI, i have tried all combinations but still get no power.
On reading hours and hours of forums, its mixed to what issue is but im thinking the motherboard is to out of date for this card, or even the flash bios revision is too out of date.
Can someone advise if had similar issue or know about this,
Also If it is the motherboard, i would just like to keep my case and components and buy a mother board to fit in my (Mid-AX) case but not 100% sure on buying a new motherboard as
A) if it is actually a motherboard problem as to why new graphics card wont work
B) What type, make, size etc of mother board i would need
Any advise greatly appriciated
