HP Envy 700-430qe desktop PC Windows 8 + NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 + connected via HDMI to Onkyo TX SR607 receiver transmitts video but no sound.
NVIDIA Control Panel "Change reolution" screen displays the Onkyo Receiver but the connector drop down does not allow HDMI-HDTV(audio enabled) choice. How can I get the choice enabled? Drivers are up to date.
Thus on the windows control panel sound Playback screen, I get the "not plugged in" message under NVIDIA HDMI Output (Port 1), and no sound to my receiver
The HP specifications say my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 75 HD is Audio enabled with 7.1 channel audio on HDMI nvhda 64v,sys 1.3.30.1
