tHE CD TRAP ON MY GRANDSON'S HP P7, 1234 WILL NOT OPEN AND THERE IS NO POWER LIGHT ON IT EITHER. Sorry about the caps. The skivy is he lives with his gradma and I and I put a new power supply and video card in his hp so he could play better games. Then before we could set up the program for the amd card we found out that when he got it from his mother who is incarcerated, was full of virus. We took it and spent another 300 and had it cleaned and anti virus added. Now when we try to set up the program for the amd card the cd tray would not open so we could install it. Here comes the whine. I am disabled, 65 years old and we are raising our grandson on a pretty darn badfixed income. I called the place that cleaned it and sold us the anti virus and they said, they had not used it or checked it and for a mere 75 they will take a look and see. I may be old, imay be disabled but I know a dink when I see them. Just can't afford more. So I came on here hopong someone would want to help us considering where we sit. I will say this. All I wanted from them is to know if this model hp would have two seperate connections on the back of ithe tray or just one coming from the motherboard. They said to bring it in. That stinks. I have always lent a hand to others in need, that is something that we teach to our grandson continually, and hope that it is one of you who would help out us in need. Don't mean to whine but after the money I have spent on power supply, amd high foluting video card and now the cleaning and repair for my deserving grandson I am at my wits end, and cash flow.
