I have a pavilion p6-2312ea with 23xi monitor.
For some reason the screen will go blank randomly .
The power button being unable to turn on or off . The display can only be restored by waiting a while then re-powering or pulling power lead out of monitor re-plug pull out re plug to resume display .
I have tried an alternate graphics card in pci slot to the integrated graphics card , still the same problem .
Bios has been updated and all drivers checked , OS reloaded .
Still the same problem it will just randomly crash.
I have tried another HP monitor w1907v this does seem a little more stable but still the same problem.
I am now running out of ideas .
Could it be an overheating problem with the AC adaptor on the 23i screen ? But as this happens on another monitor I am not convinced of overheating.
Any ideas to try appreciated .
I have tried HP support but have had no joy .
