HP 2010i Monitor Serial # CNC03806F8, Win 7 64 bit. The monitor in question is unplugged, as I am unable to use it at this time. Using a temporary monitor on the original desktop computer that I bought at the same time as the 2010i monitor. Monitor has always given me a little trouble, as it would go black sometimes, but if I clicked the on/off switch off, wait a few seconds, then then back on, it would come right back on and stay on. After awhile it needed more babying on the on/off switch, like I had to trick it or something. :-) Now it won't come on at all, but just flashes on then off continuously. What to do? I read some solutions, to similar monitor problems, on this forum, but none were helpful. I do not believe it is the computer as this monitor is working fine. While I was setting this monitor up, I decided to try the old one, one more time. I plugged in the power cord and the VGA cable and the (I think) DVI plug, (the white one), (not sure what it is called because I can't find the setup poster that it came with.) The monitor came on and STAYED on, but darn it, I had to unplug the white cable and the power cord to repostion them, and then when I tried to turn it on again, the flashing began again. I started to think the problem was with the power cord, as I knew that I had the cables securely fastened. I pushed on the power cord on the monitor to make sure it was firmly connected and that did not help. I wiggled it to see if that did anything and it did not. I hope I have ruled out what the problem is Not. Any ideas about what it Is? I have no idea what to expect to pay to a local PC technician and prefer to fix things myself, if I can. I replaced my harddrive and added some memory to my the desktop (Pavilion 6010f) awhile back. I was hoping that I could fix this too. (Live on fixed SS disablitiy income) Thanks, in advance, for your time and consideration. taylor
