This Pavillion came preinstalled with an nVidia GeForce GT 630 graphics card. The fan on this card is going bad - the card smells "burny" when I run it, the fan runs really loud and the computer is crashing while playing graphics-heavy games.
I tried replacing it with a PNY Verto GeForce GT 730 2048 MB DDR3 card. But now, with the Verto installed, my Pavillion won't boot up, it just hangs on the HP splash screen. I cannot boot in Safe Mode nor can I access BIOS settings.
The Verto's specs seemed like it would work in my Pavillion - PCIe 2.0, at least 300W PSU. I've been searching online for help but am unable to determine a fix for my problem.
Any tips?
