Dual monitors and sound

So it seems that I have reached my last resort by posting to this forum since I have spent probably about 5 hours with tech support with limited success. My PC has very little expansion capabilities and it is hard to loose the functionality I had on my old XP box. With help from tech support I was able to get dual monitors working on the video end, one older Dell 19" with only VGA input and a RCA 24" LED24C54RQ model with various inputs to incude VGA, HDMI, Composite, Coax, along with a 3.5 mm audio labeled as DVI/Sound. So the desktop has only VGA and DVI-D out and a 3.5 mm line level audio and if I had something else like another VGA or HDMI then there would probably be no issue.

But as it stands right now I have no sound coming from the DVI to HDMI connection to the TV. I cannot convert the digital of DVI-D straight to VGA which gives me sound in the PC mode of the TV monitor. But when in HDMI mode of the TV I get no sound even though I use the audio input Sound/DVI jack on the back of the TV. The settings for audio and digital in the TV menu are grayed out. It is possibly and issue with the TV but most definitely stretching the limits of this PC.
