Hello everyone I have a curious question.. Can I upgrade my HP Pavilion model number: h8-1280t to a GTX 980 and to a 850 Watt PSU? I actually replaced all the hardware inside and I know my motherboard can handle the upgrade, as well as my cpu, etc... Here are my current specs:
ASUS Rampage IV Gene LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard, Republic of Gamers (ROG)
3 x PCIe 3.0 x16 (single x16; x16/x16 configurations; the 3rd one always supports x8 mode)
AMD CrossFireX and NVIDIA SLI support
2 x SATA 6Gb/s ports (Red) with RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 support
4 x USB 3.0/2.0 ports (2 at back panel; 2 at midboard)
1 x LAN featuring Intel Chipset
4 x DIMM Slots, Quad-channel DDR3 2400(O.C.)/2133(O.C.)/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz Support
8-CH High Definition Audio, DTS
Intel Core i7-3820 Sandy Bridge-E Quad-Core 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 2011 130W
32nm Sandy Bridge-E 130W Quad-Core
10MB L3 Cache
4 x 256KB L2 Cache
SAPPHIRE Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
1280 Stream Processors
2GB 256-Bit GDDR5
PCI Express 3.0 x16
16GB DDR3 Memory
Wireless built in
2 TB HDD
Windows 8.1
So basically my main concern is space for the GTX 980 and of my 850 Watt PSU will fit.. I already bought the products but I'm just curious if the case could hold this much... Also my BIOS are UEFI. ^_^
