So I bought an HP Envy a few days ago. There was strange buzzing and crackling noise coming from the headphones and speakers. Regardless of volume levels the near constant buzzing remained the same, and it seemed to grow more vigorous as the PC underwent more demanding tasks like video editing. I called HP support and we attempted a few solutions including a factory reset. None of the solutions worked, so I returned the computer and bought a different HP Envy at a different store (same 700 series). I have the exact same issue with this completely different computer. I've searched the internet and found this to be an old issue with dozens of different solutions, and I've tried many of them already. I've updated and reinstalled drivers, disabled and uninstalled wifi, changed the quality of audio output to 192000 Hz, disabled exclusive mode, etc...Someone mentioned that the buzzing might be caused by electro megnetic interference and a lack of built-in protection against such interference. If that's the case then I'll have to return the computer and try something else. If anybody has any other ideas or solutions, I'll give them a shot. Thanks.
