My Pavilion 25xi monitor has been serving me for almost a year now, but rather suddenly, a serious issue has arisen.
I was helping a friend troubleshoot some issues with his HP 2511x, understanding that we had similar monitors, and I had swapped monitors with his computer. My Pavilion acted just fine on my friends computer, so he knew that his monitor was having issues. But, when it came time to return my monitor back to its rightful computer, it now appears to be stuck searching through video signals until finially settling on sleep mode. My monitor had been working perfectly beforehand.
After doing some tests, I have noticed that when plugged in both HDMI and VGA, the monitor appears to linger for about 2 or so seconds before moving on. I could not reset to factory settings becuase the monitor needs to find a source before doing so. Although, i did reset the monitor using my friend's computer.
My monitor has suffered not a single scratch since i bought it, and all ports appear to be functional, clean and intact. Strangely, no signals at all can seem to get to my monitor at the moment.
