I've taken the IDT update 2-3 times since the first time it showed up in the Windows Updates and have had a problem with it every time.  After the update and I reboot my computer, there is no sound.  It doesn't take long to figure out that the audio service isn't running, nor are 2 or 3 other services that the audio service apparently needs to be running (I just can't remember what they are.  I wind up having to roll back the audio driver to fix the problem.  It's getting old.

The reason I'm asking is because it has reappeared in Windows Updates again.  I can't be the only one having this problem so why is this 3 year old CODEC problem update still not been updated?  I don't have any problems with my audio without the update but I'm assuming it might be somewhat important.
