I have recently purchased a used HP 2509m monitor. It works quite well and I am pleased with the product. I have replaced an existing monitor with it in a KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) setup. There are four computers connected to this KVM: three desktops and 1 laptop.
Two of the desktops and the laptop are working fine with this monitor in the KVM setting. HOWEVER, one of the desktops, a Lenovo H430, displays with the desktop about an inch down from the top leaving the task bar / system tray inaccessible. I have tried using the HP 2509m settings to adjust the screen up but have had no luck. (and even if I did correct the problem in such fashion, would this change the view on the other computers?)
Thus far, it would appear that when re-booting the Lenovo Desktop, the screen will display correctly. (all computers' resolution are set at 1920 x 1080) However, at some point in the process of switching from one computer to another, the Lenovo desktop drops that one inch making the taskbar inaccessible.
