I'm having an issue with connecting sound to my monitor. The monitor is Gateway and it has a usb connection with a green cord as well as a pink cord. The usb is attached through one of the front facing usb slots and I tried connecting the green cord to the headphone port in the computer tower, but no sound gets to the monitor. I tried pluggin headphones into both the left side of the monitor where there is just a green port and the right side where there are both green and pink ports, but neither side was receiving sound. If I plug my headphones directly into the green port on the tower I get sound to them and if I leave them unplugged sound comes through speakers on the tower. My ultimate goal is to be able to plug headphones into the monitor because they will not reach all the way to the tower from where I am.
