Changing from Radon to Nvidia Graphics card

After 2 deaths in a year of the HP provided Eyefinity AMD Radeon HD7770 graphics cards, I went shopping for a new card and decided on the AVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB (02G-P4-3751-KR).  While I'm awaiting shipping from AVGA.com, I thought I should get my ducks in a row for the installation.

You (HP) have a beautiful site for the physical removal and installation.  That will not be my problem.  My problems will arise with the software.

Question #1 - If I uninstall the AMD Catalyst software, will it affect anything else on my HP Pavillion HPE h9-1185 Phoenix Desktop?  (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03306320&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&lc=en&product=5212303#N587)

Questions #2 - Will the change of graphics card brands/chips have any effect on the TV capture card or any other HP wonderful feature, like the Diagnostic tools?

Those are the most important questions while I am waiting.  I do have another question relating to MS program, Windows Media, that came with the computer.  MicroSoft says Windows Media does not come on Win7 and won't support it.  I can't get it to work properly and what good is a remote for Window Media without the software?  Is there a site on HP for fixing Windows Media?

Thank you for your help!

Ellen
