IDT Audio Not Working After Windows 8.1 Update

Hi, I own the HP ENVY 700-230 Desktop PC, and at first, it was running magnificently. Everything was running smoothly and just the way they were supposed to. However, after I installed the Windows 8.1 Update, my IDT Audio was not working on occasion. When this would happen, I simply had to PARTLY insert my earphone cable into the jack, instead of all the way in, and the audio would come through. However, the issue kept reoccuring more frequently after some time. So, I came onto the HP Forums, looked up the answer an HP Expert gave, and installed the mentioned driver for the IDT Audio. After installing it, my IDT Audio didn't work at all. I went to Device Manager and scanned for hardware changes, and it came up with nothing. Due to this, I uninstalled the driver I had downloaded, and still no audio coming from my earphones. I just got the computer a few months ago, so are there any easy solutions? In addition, I think I'm having the same problem with the Beats Audio. Please help Hewlett-Packard, I love you guys.
