How do I disable front audio detection by the mother board connector where the front cable is plugged in on a DC 7700 mini tower desktop. I get message 917-saying front audio not detected. I have to press F1 key to boot to windows. For some reason the motherboard is not detecting the plugged in connector. I even slaved in another cable from a different computer. Still getting the same message. I went to bios and set defaults. Did not work. I am out of options. If I can disable the front audio in command prompt this would be great, or what pins can I short out on audio connector to make motherboard think that the connector is on?
