Recently replaced an older HP Desktop with the Envy 700 running Windows 7 Professional.
Former set-up had a dual monitor configuration with a video card that had two connectors for the monitors - one DVI and one HDMI. The standard connectors on the old PC were VGA and DVI but both were capped to prevent use.
I wanted to set-up the monitors on this new PC to do the same and wanted to know if a dedicated video card with the two input connectors was the best set-up or just use a dumb adaptor for the VGA or DVI ports on the new PC. The new PC has two standard video connectors - a VGA and a DVI currently.
FYI: Using an Intel i7-4770 processor with 16GB RAM and uses an Intel HD Graphics 4600 video card currently.
